There will be a seminar in German medeival longsword techniques February 19-20, 2005 in Topeka, Kansas. This is not Olympic fencing--this is how people with longswords really fought in the 15th century. More information at:

Jessica Finley has just been authorized as the owner/operator of a Fight School in Topeka, KS-Great Plains Fechtschule, teaching, among other things German Longsword.

And yes, I'm biased as a friend, but she is honest, driven and a genuinely skilled practicioner. Anyone who would sink their teeth into the works of Lictenhauer, Von Danzig and other medieval/Renaissance masters would do well to attend here. I've personally hashed out bits of Paulus Kal with her in sword and buckler - she's just terrific and so are her students.

    Take a look for yourself.
